At the Denbies Chocolate Fair in March we indulged our passion and bought a selection of fresh cream truffles from Besococo Chocolates. Founder, Deepa Jayaraman, creates very modern chocolates using traditional processes, with each batch lovingly made with the freshest of ingredients. Deepa uses locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

As a rule, I opt for dairy-free chocolates but this little selection was hard to resist. As each batch is made fresh, the chocolates have a limited shelf life so I made sure I ate them in good time!

The selection didn’t have a menu so I was left guessing with some of the flavours. However, the ginger, coffee, and salted caramels were easily eliminated from the game. I also remember selecting a pistachio truffle, which once I bit into, I could be certain I had made the right choice.
